POOR SERVICE

POOR SERVICE OF CUSTOMER CARE CALL CENTRE PERSONS, DAMARIS AND SUPERVISOR GABI. APPARENTLY MY CALL WAS A JOKE SCOTIABANK HAVE ISSUES WITH SYSTEM AND IS CHARGING CUSTOMERS LATE FEES. HAD A CONVERSATION FOR OVER 35 MINUTES TO GET MY MONEY WHICH WAS STOLEN BY SCOTIABANK.

I will give this bank a 0/10 for customer service.

I had a credit card card with them and there were times Id be like 25 dollars short on a payment and Id get up to 12 calls a day when I was at work. I couldnt answer at work and theyd never leave a message. I finally went in awhile ago and paid off what I owed and asked them to close my account. She said it was done and took my card and cut it up in front of me. Today I received a bill for 120.00? Wtf! I will post this o every social media account I can and let people know just how they treat their customers. Ive never been treated this badly ever!

Such a bad customer service no one pick the phone on one call take 1 hours and sitting unprofessional people My advice never open the account in Scotiabank And customer service is not Canadian's base.

SCOTIA NOT GIVING MY MONEY

Extremely poor customer service. My visa card was compromised. They cancelled the card the and sent a new one. My old card that was cancelled had a balance which they dont know how to transfer to the new card and unaware of it. They say they can't see what customers see on their online banking. Customer service line push me to branch and branch push to the customer service line. Some customer service representative hang up the phone on your face. I was with scotia for 24 years! no more.

Horrible banking system that makes lots of errors

I cancelled a $650 scotiabank etransfer last year, their system worked fine at that time but when I went back to see my transactions for tax purposes I noticed they had taken the money cancellation out of my account and into the bank without sending the money to anyone! This proves that Scotia bank Interac system made a huge mistake and is taking people's money and unless a person notices it they are pocketing the money!! Wow this is really scary. I have no longer any faith in this establishment because obviously they have no audits that checks their system for correctness.

OH NO!

Wow I was going to give you a bad review but it appears you have quite enough already. My complaints have all been addressed by other peeps. I don't even have a Scotia Bank account, just helping my wife. I wouldn't even think about this bank.

Customer service

Absolutely atrocious telephone customer service. I've never felt like I was bothering a, "customer service rep," so much by calling them in all of my life. REFUSED to acknowledge, let alone resolve the issue that I called about.

Bad Customer Service: People don't understand their work

Worst customer service I have ever received from a bank in Canada. I have multiple products with them like mortgage, Line of Credit (both secured and unsecured), credit card. But they behave weird; they took few weeks to send card, they set up multiple profiles for me on their own folly and advice me to setup appointments to resolve!, I need to wait for more than an hour to contact them just to reactivate the card and the person on the other end wont be of any help!! Just pissed of !!

Harassment

I've had the same phone number for 6yrs. And for at least 4 of those 6 yrs, I've been getting calls from a collection agency on behalf of the bank of novascotia for someone I've never heard of. I've made it clear that this isnt his number everytime. And like clockwork, every 6 mnths, it starts all over again. I'm going to sue the bank of novascotia, and the collection agency. 4yrs of harrasing phone calls is outrageous. Enough already!

Worst bank ever

Called to say I was late on a payment and I was never late, tried to argue and I told them to stop calling me over foolishness and the woman tried to argue with me so I hung up on her. Let alone, they are always down and clearly asked for my employment details and I told them to *** because they already had the details. Personally they need to hire less annoying people

Travel Rewards

Bad service. Many phone calls and long wait time and there was still no answer. Good thing I wasn't stuck overseas because airline will not deal directly if you purchased a ticket through third party such as Scotia Travel Rewards.

User's recommendation: Don't book through them. Lucky I wasn't stuck overseas would have been major problem. Best to go through travel agent or direct with airline.

Worst experience

Had applied for a credit card, however Scotia bank ran my credit check and then told me there is a system error and have to open a new application and have to re-run credit check after 6 days which will impact customer credit score. A system problem impacting customer credit score. Please avoid Scotia bank. They dont care for there customer. No retention/customer relations.
