Warning

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Do not trust Scotiabank!!! They lied to me on a safe investment that is losing money.

I asked for a investment that was not going to lose my money and repeated on this issue. I was told that this mutual fund was safe and will perform well again I asked about any losses and was told again my investments are safe... BS nothing but losses and having 700000.00K with them you would think that they would treat you with respect. Nothing but headaches no resolution all excuses.

They will lie to you for a sale don't fall for it I feel scammed and betrayed. Don't do business with Scotiabank you will get burned.

High portafolio customer but head office treat.you like dog

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On 2810 Major Mackenzie Dr W, Vaughan branch, a spoiled, immature high school cashier, Polina Kolenagova, treats customers like garbage, due to her negligence. Basically, she loves to cry at work and complains to the head office when the branch manager doesn't know about what type of negligent employees they hire to run a bank.

First of all, this cashier is unprofessional and lacks experience. If you check her LinkedIn account, she was previously a server in a restaurant. So, serving food and then taking her apron off, she goes to handle people's money in a bank, which is scary!

My extensive portfolio with Scotia Bank was compromised because of her, causing me to lose a lot of money. Be aware before making any bank transactions with her.

If I could give -10, I will put it.

I created an account online, and I never received the card which was not activated. However, they were accumulating account fees and sent my account to collection for an account which card I never received. They never emailed me or called me.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with! Full stop!

The worst bank I have ever dealt with! Full stop!

I've been fighting with Scotiabank and their fraud department (lack of) on behalf of my 85yr old mother-in-law. She was scammed by phone *** who presented themselves as an Amazon employee. My mother-in-law provided her credit card information. She knows she did wrong and owns this mistake.

What happens next is where people should think twice about banking with Scotiabank. The Fraudsters called Scotiabank and presented broken pieces of my mother-in-law's identity (they didn't have all the details). With the extremely helpful Scotiabank staff, the fraudsters managed to completely reset my mother-in-laws accounts and were provided credentials to create an online banking profile (My mother-in-law does not own a computer and has never done anything online). The fraudsters then; maxed out her Visa credit card with small transactions, wire transferred all funds from her chequing account to a European bank, and initiated a sale of almost $30k worth of investments from her TFSA.

Completely liquidating her life savings in minutes. Scotiabank didn't even know it was going on. What took fraudsters minutes to complete, has taken us months of fighting to try resolve. We've been told Scotiabank has done all they can do and are washing their hands of it.

They've provided an escalation protocol which we are following but it's a farse with the same results escalation after escalation. "Nothing they can do". We've filed a Police Report and filing complaints with governing agencies. What's clear to us now (and we want others to be aware of) Scotiabank does not have systems in place to detect or protect you from fraud and have little interest to help their legitimate customers.

Fraudsters on the other hand, they help whole heartedly. My mother-in-law has had her identity and her funds stolen from her and Scotiabank has helped facilitate this crime.

As they say, buyer beware!! Stay away!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I did a over payment on my account when i had a cheque to pay off my Auto loan. I was told at least 5 times by Scotiabank that they would be sending the almost 6 thousand dollars back to me... two weeks later i found out that they sent it to someone else.

When i talked to a manger they said, We are sorry but there is nothing we can do.

I will NEVER deal with them again!

The constant issues they are having with online and mobile banking is ridiculous. I have family members with other banks that have never had so many issues...

Im contemplating changing my bank from Scotia and warning anyone close to me about the stupidity I've dealt with. Constantly cannot access my money or move my money between my accounts...

Absolutely Ridiculous... And Absolutely Unhappy

Got conned into investing a lot of money . Invested in low interest ventures.

Told I could not lose much. This Guy lost me $10.000. He said Covid. Ya right.

Hopefully he is not looking after peoples money anymore.

They don't accept legal dollar coins or 50 cent coins. They are still legal currency.

Paid my line of credit 1 day too early on their system & penalized with a late payment !! Wow i have never been so pissed off.

I get screwed over for paying too early.

Not even willing to remove the late charge and i have been a customer for many years! Exactly how these make their money off the general public!

Scotiabank is so enamoured with their "System", they have totally overlooked the customer experience... which is very negative

I am a client of over 50 years... same name, same city, excellent credit rating..over 150,000.00 cash in my Scotiabank account.

I also have a Scotia Infinite card with a credit limit of $25000. I knew I had a large travel charge coming through on my credit card so I prepaid $5000.00 on the card prior to any due date.

When my travel agent went to run my Infinite card, I was over my credit limit by $243.00 BECAUSE Scotiabank no longer acknowledges pre-payment of credit cards. If Scotiabank thinks this is good customer service, they should re-examine their ethics.
