Worst experience I've had with any bank (including CIBC and they are pretty horrible). I applied to open a credit card, got approved and a confirmation email right away.

Got a call couple of days after at work, asked to confirm couple of things. Asked to get a call back since I was busy at the moment. The person said they couldn't call me back, and i had to go to branch. Went to branch.

Branch people had no idea what to do. Finally got my ID entered. Called credit card department to confirm - oh guess what they are closed on Saturday. Called credit car number again on Tuesday - was told to go back to branch with my IDs?

what? why? no idea. The person I talked said they'd give me a call back - of course they never did.

Got my physical card in the mail - haha. Called again on Thursday to activate the card. Again was told to come to branch with my ids. Went to branch today - apparently my ids are entered in the system and now they wanted my statement of assessment.

The phone people are very rude and I never got a call back. I wasted so much time, never again doing any business with Scotiabank!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

This crap happens all the time! the call centres are terrible and don't know how to solve their own problems and pass the buck to the branches. Poor branches are left confused with no word from the call centres to fix their mess
